Each week has a theme. Within each theme the activities and teaching style vary ensuring that every child uses Danish in reading and writing. However, the primary focus is on spoken Danish, this being in the playground, in the classroom, in groups or as a presentation for others.

The projects are prepared in a way that progression is achieved from week to week.  On Friday afternoon we celebrate the projects and hand over diplomas.

Typically the theme for a week is "Denmark", with a different sub-theme each day; Friends in Denmark , Tourists in Denmark, History in Denmark, Nature in Denmark.  Activities could include treasure hunting in Copenhagen, strategic games in teams, interviews, book reviews and more.

In addition to the project, we take time to play games, sing, and talk about local and global news. In this way we strengthen Danish language skills and knowlede of Danish history and culture, not only through concrete learning methods, but indeed through informal interaction as well.
